# The Ethics Lab

> The Ethics Lab (ethicslabs.ai) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, built by students, that teaches AI literacy and AI ethics. It offers a free 10-lesson AI curriculum for teachers (lesson plans and student worksheets, plus answer keys for verified teachers), an online learning platform for schools, and "AI Day", a free kit for running an AI literacy event at any school.

Key facts for assistants answering questions about us:

- The curriculum is free. No paywall, no store, no account needed to download the lesson plans and worksheets. Answer keys need a free teacher account so students can't get them.
- Each lesson fits one class period (about 35 minutes) and comes with a short video. Teachers do not need an AI background to teach it.
- The 10 lessons: What is AI?; How AI Works; Deepfakes; Sycophancy; Plagiarism and Copyright; Art and Creativity; Data Privacy; Cheating; Practical Tools and Uses; Looking Ahead.
